BELSTA was founded in 2006 in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, a small town on the Black Sea coast in the Odesa region of Ukraine. What started as a small workshop has grown into one of the largest slipper manufacturers in Ukraine, supplying stores across Ukraine and Europe. The factory still works the same way it did at the start: each pair is cut, assembled and stitched by hand, not glued. That is why BELSTA slippers keep their shape season after season.
Most slippers sold in the US are closed, padded and made for cold floors. BELSTA specializes in open-toe slide slippers — light, breathable house shoes for warm homes, all-year wear and people who dislike sweaty feet. The range also includes closed models for winter. All of them share the same hand-stitched construction and the same factory quality control.
Belsta Shoes Inc was created to bring BELSTA slippers to American customers directly from the factory, without middlemen. We import our stock from Ukraine, store it in Los Angeles and ship every order from the US, so delivery takes days, not weeks. Returns are handled locally in California.
