Closed-Toe Slippers — Warm House Shoes for Cold Floors
A closed-toe slipper covers the whole front of the foot, so warmth stays in and drafts stay out. Most BELSTA closed-toe styles are cut as mules — covered toe, open back — which means they slide on without bending down and still keep feet warm from the first cold morning in October to the last one in April. A few are fully closed loafer-style slippers with soft felt soles for people who want maximum coverage and total silence on hardwood.
Browse closed-toe slippers in Italian wool felt, natural wool, plush velour, absorbent terry cloth, faux suede and deep-pile faux fur. Some have embroidery or appliques, some have fur pom-poms, and some are plain — but every pair sits on a sole that won't flatten or crack after one season.
Every BELSTA pair is hand-stitched in our family-run workshop in Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, Ukraine, where we've been making house shoes since 2006 — and ships from our Los Angeles warehouse, usually within 2–5 business days.
Frequently asked questions
Are closed-toe slippers warmer than open-toe? Yes. The covered toe traps heat where feet lose it fastest. If your floors are cold or you keep the heating low, closed-toe is the right choice.
Do closed-toe slippers run small? Most BELSTA closed-toe styles are true to size. The few that run small say so on the product page — order one size up for those.
Can I wear them outside? Styles with a PU or PVC sole are fine for a quick trip to the mailbox. Felt-sole styles are indoor only.
